CITY SEEKS VIEWS THROUGH NEW BROADCAST WEBSITE

 

Bristol City Council has become the first local authority to launch a self-broadcast website to encourage people to air their views on city issues. Users will be able to upload their own videos, audio files images and text messages using the new Viewfinder site, which has been developed with support from the Department for Constitutional Affairs Innovations Fund.

SMALL FIRMS SET OUT HOPES FOR LOCAL ELECTIONS

 

The Federation of Small Businesses has set out eight key areas it would like local authorities to address and it is calling on all candidates in the forthcoming council elections to keep small businesses at the forefront of their policies. The Federation, Britain’s biggest business organisation, has published its own ‘manifesto’ for the May polls outlining how decisions at a local level affect small companies and self-employed people.
