NEW STUDY SHOWS GREATER GAP BETWEEN RICH AND POOR

A new, more detailed method of comparing poverty and wealth trends shows inequality in Britain is at its most pronounced for more than 40 years. The research is published today by the Joseph Rowntree Foundation and comes as second report, reveals that the public believe there is too big a gap between rich and poor people.

As much money should be spent on the education of children from disadvantaged backgrounds as on those at private schools according to a report today from the independent liberal think tank, CentreForum. It is suggesting that teachers working with the children should get “Hard to Serve” bonuses of up to 15 per cent year linked to their performance.
