19TH CENTURY CULTURE HOLDING BACK DEVELOPMENT OF FLEXIBLE WORKING
A study commissioned by City & Guilds and the Institute of Leadership and Management has found that although 73 per cent of managers have some flexible working in their organisation, further development is at risk because of the culture of ‘presenteeism’. This is an anachronism from the 19th century where management require staff to be at the place of work for them to be considered as ‘working’.
