This programme is now available to view on egovtv.tv, the online television channel for public service modernisation. It describes how the Isle of Man transformed a legacy of fragmented processes, applications and websites into an integrated system. Managing online services and websites is now much simpler and far more effective than the Isle of Man’s previous set up where individual services and sites had been developed discretely reflecting organisation structure rather than customer need.With the development of the single Government wide shared services based on Microsoft technologies, common components such as Authentication and BizTalk adaptors are re-used in each subsequent service, leading to a consistent user experience, and demonstrable efficiencies, essential to a full service with a small population and limited budget.
