BUSINESS SCHOOL ASSESSES IMPACT OF BEACONS SCHEME

With the Beacon Awards ceremony due to take place today, Government ministers have welcomed research from Warwick Business School showing how local authorities can innovate and improve by sharing ideas. The study, carried out over three years, evaluated the impact and effectiveness of the Beacons Scheme.

BIRMINGHAM SIGNS UP TO MAPPING AGREEMENT

Birmingham City Council has announced its support for the Mapping Services Agreement, a centrally-agreed deal which is expected to save local government hundreds of millions of pounds. It is the first arrangement of its kind under which local government has procured as a whole and used that bulk power to make savings.
