ENGLISH COUNCILS GET NEW POWERS TO COMBAT BAD PARKING

It has been confirmed that English councils are to get the power to deal more easily with inconsiderate and dangerous parking. From June those authorities which carry out parking enforcement will be able to issue penalty charges to drivers who double park or block dropped kerbs.

SHARED SERVICES LIBRARY OPENS UP TO LOCAL GOVERNMENT

Shared Service Architects has announced that Members and Officers in local authorities and partnering organisations are now able to access its in-house, online library of links to almost 200 moderated shared service documents from across the UK and overseas, without charge. The topics include finance, HR, estates management, procurement, legal services, travel services and marketing and communication.
