Research published today indicates that some of Britain’s private sector high flyers are not just considering switching to teaching but want to become school heads. Figures from the National College for School Leadership show that of managers thinking about moving into the public sector, nearly half are looking at education.

MPs QUESTION DIRECTION OF HOUSING POLICY

A Government scheme designed to get mortgage markets moving again is not working, according to a group of MPs. The Communities and Local Government Select Committee says the Treasury’s Asset-backed Guarantee Scheme does not go far enough to ensure the Government will meet its housing targets.
