MUSEUMS LIBRARIES AND COLLEGES TO COLLABORATE IN LIFELONG LEARNING

An independent report has recommended that public libraries and museums should work in partnership with Further Education colleges to pursue its recommendations for lifelong learning. The proposal has been welcomed by the Museums, Libraries and Archives Council and work has started on developing the public library-college model.

ATTRACTION OF HOME OWNERSHIP FADES FOR SOCIAL HOUSING TENANTS

The satisfaction of tenants in social housing is rising steadily and the majority are no longer attracted by home ownership. The latest survey from the Tenant Services Authority Housing, the social housing watchdog, reveals that housing association tenants are more satisfied with the quality of their homes, their neighbourhoods and their landlords than ten years ago.
