CONCERNS RAISED OVER CARE STANDARDS IN SPITE OF IMPROVEMENTS

A national charity says it still has major concerns about the quality of care provided to vulnerable older people living in homes. Counsel and Care is raising the issue today as the Care Quality Commission’s first report into adult social care services in England shows general standards getting better.

CHILDREN IN CARE WORRIED ABOUT SEPARATION FROM SIBLINGS

Almsot half of children in care have been separated from brothers or sisters who have been sent to different placements. The figure is revealed in the second annual survey of children’s views of being in care or living in residential education, which also shows that one in five of them continue to be bullied for being in care.
