GOVERNMENT WARNED OVER TRUE COSTS OF PERSONAL CARE POLICY

The Government has been warned that it has significantly under-estimated the cost of providing free personal care for elderly people who have high levels of need. The warning from the Association of Directors of Adult Social Services is based on the findings of a survey it has carried out.

WALES INTRODUCES FITNESS TRAIL PILOT FOR NHS STAFF

Fitness trails are to be installed in two Welsh hospitals in a pilot scheme designed to promote healthy lifestyles for NHS staff and to enable them to set an example for patients. The Welsh Assembly Government is putting fifty thousand pounds into the project.
