It describes the improvements in customer services and efficiencies that have contributed to the London Borough of Southwark being named ‘Most Improved Council’ and their CPA rating improving from ‘weak’ to ‘good’ in 18 months.In six months Southwark managed an overhaul that included Council property, BPR, systems integration, change management and staff transfer. Now through a major partnership with Pearson Government Solutions, Southwark boasts a new state-of-the-art telephone customer contact centre, together with three new one-stop-shops. This development has brought additional benefits such as staff empowerment and improved staff morale.
