The National Council for Voluntary Organisations has launched an online consultation to make sure that local voluntary and community organisations of all sizes set the priorities for its work on local government. The NCVO believes that at this time of major change at the local level it is important that local organisations give their views on what is working well now and what might work in the future. There is particular interest in how local partnerships between voluntary and community organisation and local government is working. The White Paper will spell out a framework for double devolution, with government giving more power to local authorities and local authorities giving more power to local communities, and the NCVO wants to know if this will be helpful to the work of voluntary and community bodies.

The Consultation – Government: Challenges and Opportunities for the Voluntary and Community Sector can be completed online at www.ncvovol.org.uk/localgovernmentconsultation .
