This programme is now available to view on egovtv.tv, the online television channel for public service modernisation. It describes how the National Centre for Applied Learning Technologies is using flexible learning as a way of delivering consistent, cost efficient work skills training to over 105,000 users across the 43 UK police authorities.NCALT, a partnership between the police training organisation Centrex and the Metropolitan Police Service, was established to encourage the use of flexible learning for the UK police service.

Since its inception in 2002, it has produced a variety of high quality e-learning content from management training to operational scenario-based training. NCALT is also encouraging further take up of the managed learning environment and its e-learning content on a local level through their learning outreach team.

GovTV (www.eGovTV.tv) is a dedicated web-cast television channel for governors of public bodies, council members and senior executives across all public sector organisations and is available free to an unlimited audience at anytime, at any location via the internet.
