Councillor David Parsons, Chair of the LGA Improvement Board, outlines the prospect for efficiency savings from the ‘Total Place’ initiative which is being piloted in 13 locations across the country.

A key role in the pilots is being played by the Regional Improvement and Efficiency Partnerships. The RIEPs are led by members and are partnerships of councils and other key providers and are focused on supporting authorities to deliver on the priorities which are important to local communities.
