A ground-breaking shared services agreement at Hampshire County Council has been put in place for the construction of two new schools. The partnership was brokered by the Improvement and Efficiency South East partnership. This programme, which is now available to view on localgov.tv the online television channel for public service modernisation, describes how it was done.

The partnerships has also helped councils to achieve £18.5 million in cashable savings and funded a Local Governance course at London South Bank University to help leaders develop their skills as councillors.
