But modern public mangement must go beyond anecdotal evidence to provide soundly-based, objective information on what people want from public services.This report, commissioned by the Better Government Team in the Cabinet Office and written by a team from the Policy Studies Institute, the Office for Public Management and Acumen, identifies such objective evidence.
The authors have drawn out the main themes from the findings of more than 150 pieces of research from the past six years, looking at people’s expectations and experiences of their interactions with different public services.
