By G ToddMeasuring Success is an informal, internal working document developed as a tool for measuring effective partnership working. It was produced as part of the evolving community planning process in Edinburgh. The approach employed in the workbook is loosely based on the European Foundation for Quality Management’s Excellence Model, a framework that enables organisations to assess and diagnose their performance.

The self-assessment section covers overall performance; stakeholders, leadership, making plans, people, partnerships and resources and ways of working. Other sections deal with prioritizing areas for improvement, turning high priority areas for improvement into achievable goals and mechanisms for reviewing progress on the achievement of goals. The workbook is a simple tool designed as a first step for partnerships, joint working groups and their respective boards of management and members.
