This audit tool grew out of the recommendations of the NHS Taskforce on Staff Involvement. It aims to help assess the progress an organisation has made in involving staff in planning and delivering services. The audit tool is intended for use as part of a joint review of progress by management and trade unions working in partnership. It presents a development process which includes leadership, organisational involvement in vision and planning, communication processes, promoting a culture of openness and trust for staff contributions, devolution of responsibility to individuals and teams, early and effective engagement of trade unions and a programme of staff training and development that recognises staff value and involvement.Available free of charge from NHS Responseline on 0541 555 455.
