By Caroline Thomson Technology projects continually fail to live up to expectations. It is not because of a shortage of official guidance or a lack of methodologies for managing the project process. The author argues that a fundamental cause of unrealized expectations is that attention is focused on the technology. Changing the mindset and focusing on the benefits means that the project is viewed in a different way. Moving thinking beyond deliverables and on to benefits makes the difference.
