In a move to promote joint working between public services the Service First Unit in the Cabinet Office has appealed for help from the public. The appeal is going out to those involved in what are described as ‘life episodes’. These include: leaving school, becoming unemployed, changing address, having a baby, retiring, needing long-term care at home and bereavement.
The Service First ‘life episodes’ team want to know about experiences and how these services do or don’t work together. Responses should be sent to firstname.lastname@example.org The information will be used as a basis for making improvements to help people who go through these ‘life episodes’ in the future.
The team was recruited mainly from local authorities and there was an overwhelming response to a letter sent last year to Chief Executives.
