Following an approach to SOLACE International for local government expertise, the UN have selected Sue Charteris, an associate consultant of the company. She will lead a team of three experts in a mission to identify capacity building needs for local government in Kosovo. The project is the first step to rebuilding the institutions of local municipal administration.

It is expected that the UN request for assistance is the start of a technical co-operation programme involving SOLACE International which is a ‘not for profit’ company of the Society of Local Authority Chief Executives. The company has undertaken more than 100 projects in 35 countries.
