Tenants in houses owned by local councils and registered social landlords are set to benefit from a new satisfaction survey launched by the National Housing Federation. The service makes use of a standard questionnaire to measure tenant satisfaction levels. Benchmarking will then allow comparison between different organisations.
The service will help social landlords and councils to improve their services and fulfil the requirements of Best Value. Although the Best Value does not come into effect until April 2000, preparatory work, including consultation and target setting, has to be completed beforehand.
