Scotland’s major economic development agency – Scottish Enterprise – is hosting what’s thought to be the biggest series of e-business events held anywhere in the world. In towns and cities across the country this week, businesses can tap into more than 200 events offering a range of knowledge and information from how to get on line to security, e-commerce and customer handling.

E-Business Week was launched by Scotland’s Minister for Enterprise, Wendy Alexander. It’s part of the country’s attempt to help Scotland be at the forefront of the technology that will be a major aid to global trading. Already over ninety per cent of Scotland’s exporters are on-line – this week’s events are aimed at encouraging the latecomers into action, and helping those companies, large and small, already online to use it fully.
