Headlines: September 10th, 2002

Public and private sector practitioners can get access to the latest information on PFI contracts guidance in briefing sessions later this week. The sessions will be run by the Office of Government and the organisation set up to work with public bodies to support and develop their PFI and PPP projects, Partnerships UK.Revised guidance was issued by these two organisations at the end of July, and the sessions held later this week are intended for contractors, lenders, advisers, departments, authorities, agencies and other public and private sector organisations involved in PFI who want to learn more about the changes.

There are two different briefings, at the HM Treasury Conference Suite, 1 Horseguards Road, London on Friday 13th September 2002. The first is for the private sector, starting at 9 am and finishing at 12.30 pm.

The briefing for public sector practitioners will start at 2pm and finish at 5.30pm.

Speakers from OGC and Partnerships UK will be cover the key changes introduced in the revised guidance; how the revised guidance is to be implemented, new refinancing provisions and related guidance.

The Briefings are free of charge. Places need to be reserved by 5pm tomorrow (Wednesday 11th September).
