An online career-building website has launched a new higher education tool-set, which aims to improve graduate employability. Abintegro has also signed an agreement with Regent’s College London under which students will use the new system to build their CVs and personal development plans.

The tool-set is designed to help students maximise their chances when they apply for jobs. Spencer Coles, the Director of Marketing & Student Recruitment at Regent’s College, said getting graduates ready for the for the competitive employment market was at the heart of its careers service and the new software would be important to this.

“Abintegro’s solution will assist communication between academics and the careers service and provide students with a central CV and PDP platform. This, we hope, will alleviate much of the frustration felt by students when different advice is given on the best way to produce a CV and build a PDP,” he said.

The new system allows students to bring together everything they do during their years in higher education to build an innovative three-dimensional picture of their student career. It is hoped that moving beyond a traditional CV will mean they stand out from the crowd. The system captures students’ achievements around the skills and capabilities that are considered to be most important by employers when recruiting graduates.

At the same time the Grow Plan personal development tool tracks students’ goals in relation to skills and capabilities. It also allows HE institution to pre-populate the system with objectives or learning outcomes.
