TAKE UP OF VIRTUAL LEARNING IS SLOW SAYS OFSTED

Schools, colleges and other learning providers have been slow to take up the use of Virtual Learning Environments, according to OFSTED. It says that although the schemes are in the early stages of their development their success depends on the enthusiasm of teachers and learners.

ICO SETS OUT NEW INFORMATION ACT PUBLICATION MODEL

A new model publication scheme has been produced by the Information Commissioner’s Office to help public authorities comply with the Freedom of Information Act by disclosing official information. Publication Schemes are a requirement under the Act to assist members of the public in identifying the type of information that will be made available routinely.
