It discusses the advantages of the third sector in providing health and social care services and outlines what the Government and NHS need to do to enable the third sector to fulfill its potential within these markets.

Social enterprises are already transforming the delivery of services in every area of primary and community care and the pamphlet contains case studies of social enterprises already delivering health and social care solutions, such as Local Care Direct, Sandwell Community Caring Trust, the Kath Locke Centre, SCA Community Care Services and Wells-next-the-Sea Community Hospital.
